Here's a quick HOWTO on making your flag on Facebook Nations your avatar here, as I have done. As far as I know, the Nations app doesn't prohibit this. If I am wrong, correct me. The instructions are for Facebook Nations on Firefox. If you use a different browser, menu entries may be different. If you're on MySpace Nations, I make no guarantees it works the same. 1: Go to your Nation, apps.facebook.com/nations/nation2: Right-click your flag and choose View Image 3: Copy the URL, removing any trailing '?' and subsequent stuff 4: In a new tab, go to nationspb.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=viewprofile and click Modify Profile 5: Enter your password in the required boxes 6: Paste the URL you copies where it says Avatar URL 7: Back on the tab with the flag image, right-click it and choose properties THE FOLLOWING ASSUMES A LANDSCAPE FLAG. If your flag is portrait, swap width and height in the instructions. If your flag is square, just enter width and height as 100. 8: Divide 100 by the flag image width. Multiply the result by the flag height. 9: Back on the Modify Profile tab, enter 100 as avatar width, and the result of the calculation in 8 as avatar height, rounding if needed. 10: Click modify profile If all goes well, your flag should display as your avatar. If you change your flag on Nations, it will update here too. However, if you change it to something with a different aspect ratio, you'll need to change that here manually, or you'll get a distorted image.
